Delhi Begins Seven-Month Clean-Air Campaign, Seeks Citizen Action
Delhi has started a seven-month campaign to help reduce air pollution.
It will run from September 2026 through March 2027.
The campaign asks people, businesses and institutions to help make the air cleaner.
People will learn where pollution comes from and what actions they can take.
Schools, industries, markets, farmers and vehicle owners will receive special information.
The government will use workshops, posters, radio messages and street plays to reach people.
Officials are also teaching factories about equipment and rules that reduce pollution.
Other activities include vehicle checks, waste-management training and road-safety programmes.
Delhi launched a citywide clean-air awareness campaign running from September 2026 to March 2027.
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee will target residents, schools, industries, markets, farmers and other stakeholders.
Planned outreach includes workshops, community programmes, field activities, advertisements, radio jingles and street plays.
District workshops addressed industrial compliance involving emissions monitoring, pollution-control devices and DG sets.
Transport and civic initiatives are already covering vehicle pollution, waste management, PUC compliance and road safety.
