Navi Mumbai Police Arrest Nigerian National With Drugs Worth ₹3.57 Crore
Police in Navi Mumbai arrested a 41-year-old man in Taloja.
They say they found mephedrone and cocaine with him and at his home.
The drugs and other seized materials were valued at ₹3.57 crore.
Police say he had previously spent seven years in prison in another narcotics case.
He was released on bail in 2025.
A new case has been filed against him under India’s NDPS Act.
Police are trying to find where the drugs came from and who they were meant for.
They are also checking whether anyone else was involved.
Navi Mumbai Police arrested 41-year-old Nigerian national Ani Ikechukwu Darlington in Taloja on October 8.
Police said they seized 2.497 kg of mephedrone and 566 grams of cocaine from Darlington and his residence.
The seized drugs and other materials were valued at ₹3.57 crore.
Darlington had previously spent seven years in prison in a 2019 narcotics case and was released on bail in 2025.
Police registered a new case under the NDPS Act and are investigating the drugs’ source, intended recipients and possible associates.
