Dr. N. Vani Named Telangana Director of Medical Education
The Telangana government has chosen Dr. N. Vani to lead the state’s medical education.
She is the current head of Gandhi Hospital and had already served as the temporary director in 2024.
She will replace Dr. A. Narendra Kumar, who is retiring on July 31, 2026.
The change is part of a larger reorganization of the health and education departments.
The government issued a formal order (GO No.
318) to make the appointment official.
Dr. N. Vani appointed as Telangana Director of Medical Education.
She is currently Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital.
She previously served as interim DME in February 2024.
The appointment follows Dr. A. Narendra Kumar’s retirement on 31 July 2026.
Government issued GO Rt. No. 318 to formalize the change.
