Indian Airlines Report 183 Aircraft Defects Till July 21, 2025
Imagine airplanes sometimes have little problems, like a car needing a check-up.
This year, five Indian airlines told the government about 183 of these problems with their planes.
Air India had the most, with 85.
IndiGo had 62 problems, Akasa Air had 28, and SpiceJet had 8.
The government, through the DGCA, checks out each problem to make sure the planes are safe.
They want to fix these issues quickly to prevent bigger issues later on.
In previous years, more problems were reported, but the number is decreasing.
Indian airlines reported 183 technical defects in aircraft to DGCA by July 21, 2025.
Air India Group reported 85 technical defects.
IndiGo and Akasa Air reported 62 and 28 defects, respectively.
SpiceJet reported 8 technical defects within the same timeframe.
DGCA investigates reported defects to take rectification action.
