Bum-Rukn-ud-Dowla Lake Restoration Nears Completion
The Bum-Rukn-ud-Dowla Lake in Hyderabad is almost done being fixed up.
It's a very old lake from the Nizam era that had been damaged by people building things on it and throwing trash.
The government is making it big and beautiful again, with lots of space for people to walk, play, and relax.
They are also putting in lights, cameras, and even special gates.
The lake used to be very small, but now it's much bigger.
The people working on it want to make sure it stays nice for a long time.
The Bum-Rukn-ud-Dowla Lake in Hyderabad's Old City is nearly restored by HYDRAA.
The lake's size has been increased from 4.12 acres to 18 acres by removing encroachments.
Restoration includes walking tracks, lighting, play areas, seating zones, open gyms, green benches, parks, CCTV cameras, and entrance gates.
The lake dates back to the Nizam era and is being preserved as a national treasure.
The restoration aims to provide a recreational area for locals and ensure flood control and groundwater replenishment.
