Lokayukta raids Ambedkar Development Corporation over scam
The Lokayukta Police in Bengaluru conducted raids on the Ambedkar Development Corporation (ADC) office and the homes of several officials.
They are investigating a big scam where money meant for helping groups and banks was stolen.
The police found that fake papers were made to show that the money was given to the right people, but it was actually taken by some officials.
They think around Rs 3 crore to Rs 4 crore was stolen over three years.
The police are still looking for more documents to understand the full extent of the scam.
Lokayukta Police raided the Ambedkar Development Corporation (ADC) office and officials' residences in Bengaluru over an alleged multi-crore scam.
The raids were based on a complaint filed by Gururaj, a former ADC official, alleging irregularities in loan sanctioning and distribution.
Initial investigations revealed discrepancies in financial records, with fake documents created to show loans were released to eligible beneficiaries.
The scam allegedly involved diverting sanctioned loans through fabricated beneficiary lists, manipulated approvals, and falsified account details.
The Lokayukta teams seized key documents related to suspicious loan disbursals, with transactions worth around Rs 3 crore recovered so far.
