Andhra Pradesh Leads Nationally in PMAY-Urban 2.0 Awards 2026
Andhra Pradesh won first place in a national award for its urban housing work.
The award recognizes efforts under a government housing program called PMAY-U 2.0.
It was presented on World Habitat Day in New Delhi.
A state housing official accepted it from Union minister of state Tokhan Sahu.
The state says 68,309 homes have been approved across its 26 districts.
Work has started on 50,122 of those homes.
