DOGE Uses AI to Cut US Regulations, Report Says
The government is using artificial intelligence to get rid of a lot of rules, aiming to cut about half of them.
A department called DOGE, which was led by Elon Musk for a while, is leading this effort.
They're using a special AI tool to look through over 200,000 regulations and find ones that are unnecessary.
This initiative is part of a promise to reduce costs by eliminating these rules.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are already using this AI.
The White House says they're trying all sorts of things to make this happen.
DOGE, led by Elon Musk until May, is using AI to identify redundant US regulations.
The goal is to eliminate 50% of federal rules before the first anniversary of Trump's inauguration.
The 'Doge AI Deregulation Decision Tool' analyzes 200,000 regulations.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are using the tool.
