Kerala Govt. Finalizes School Calendar, Extends Working Hours

The Kerala government has made a new school calendar to make sure students learn enough.

School days will be longer by half an hour, except on Fridays.

Some Saturdays will be school days for older kids, but not for the youngest.

This change came after the High Court told the government to fix the calendar.

The government had to change its plan to have school on many Saturdays after people disagreed.

The new plan has specific teaching days and hours for each grade level.

The government made these changes to ensure schools meet the learning hour requirements.
