Andhra Pradesh removes illegal motors from PRMC
The Andhra Pradesh government has started removing illegal motors that take water from the Polavaram Right Main Canal (PRMC).
This is to make sure that enough water reaches the farthest areas of the Krishna Delta, where farmers are having a hard time because of less rain.
The government has asked officials in Krishna, NTR, and Eluru districts to find and remove these illegal motors.
They have already done this in parts of Krishna district and are checking in Eluru.
In NTR district, they started on Thursday.
The government is doing this to help farmers who are struggling to grow crops because of the dry weather.
However, farmers are worried that this might affect their crops if the dry conditions continue.
They want the government to allow water lifting once there is enough water in the tail-end areas.
