Monk and IIT Alumnus Das on Google Stress and Well-being
Imagine a monk who used to study at a very smart school, IIT, and now talks about God.
This monk, Gauranga Das, met the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai.
Pichai said he looked young, but Das said it's because he deals with God and not the stress of Google.
Das also said that too much time on phones and social media causes problems.
He wants people to know about the challenges of technology and how to balance their lives.
Gauranga Das, an ISKCON monk and IIT Bombay graduate, shared an interaction with Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
Das recalled Pichai complimenting his youthful appearance, to which Das replied that his work with God helps release stress.
Das discussed the negative impacts of digital addiction, loneliness, and anxiety on a global scale.
He mentioned that 70% of Indian teenagers spend seven hours daily online and highlighted mental health issues.
Das serves as Director of ISKCON's Govardhan Ecovillage and holds a position with the United Nations Environment Programme.
