PNB Penalized for Failing to Reverse ATM Transaction
Imagine you tried to take money out of an ATM, but it didn't work, and you didn't get your money.
This happened to a man named Prem Singh.
His bank, PNB, didn't give him his money back.
So, he complained.
Because PNB couldn't prove the money was given, the judge ordered PNB to give Prem his Rs 7,000 back, plus some extra money for waiting and the trouble caused.
The bank also had to pay for the court case.
It's like the judge is saying, if the ATM messes up, the bank has to fix it!
