Leslie Sykes Retires After 30 Years at ABC7

Leslie Sykes, who has been a familiar face on ABC7 news for over 30 years, said goodbye to viewers.

Sykes grew up in Compton and attended Spelman College before starting her career in Mississippi.

She began working at KABC in 1994 as a reporter and later became a morning anchor.

Sykes expressed gratitude to viewers and said it was a privilege to share stories.

She announced her retirement last month and made her final broadcast on Tuesday.
