CPM Kerala halts VS memorial edition
The Deshabhimani daily, which is the official newspaper of the CPM in Kerala, decided to stop the release of a special edition.
This edition was supposed to have a special feature about the late communist leader V.S. Achuthanandan.
The main article was written by his former press secretary, K.V. Sudhakaran.
However, the newspaper decided not to publish it because of a headline called 'Kallan Vijayan,' which some people might think is a dig at another leader, Pinarayi Vijayan.
The newspaper said it was because of technical errors, but insiders say it was because of the sensitive headline.
The CPM leaders were worried that this headline could be used against them or cause problems within the party.
