Kochi Biennale Foundation Unveils Diverse Programmes for Sixth Edition
The Kochi-Muziris Biennale is getting ready for its sixth big art show!
It's like a huge party with art from all over the world.
This year, it will last for 109 days, starting in December and ending in March.
There will be lots of different things to see and do, not just paintings and sculptures.
You can watch films, listen to music, see plays, and even eat special food.
There's a special building called the Pavilion where many events will happen.
The organizers want people to feel like they are part of a big, welcoming family.
They are also highlighting art made by local artists from Kerala and art made by students from many art schools across the country.
There's even a special program for kids to explore their creativity in a fun way.
The sixth Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB) will run for 109 days, from December 12, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
Programmes include conversations, films, food, music, theatre, workshops, and choreographies alongside exhibitions.
The Biennale Pavilion, designed by architect Senthil Kumar Doss, will host various events.
The event features 'Invitations' showcasing independent, artist-run initiatives from the Global South, 'Edam' highlighting Kerala's artistic practices, and the 'Students Biennale' with 70 artist projects.
New initiatives include 'The Thinking Lab' for workshops and seminars, the 'Art by Children' programme, and a relaunched 'Residency Programme' focusing on trans-oceanic histories.
