Cameron Green's Record IPL Deal Followed by Ashes Setback
Cameron Green, an Australian cricket player, was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders team for a huge amount of money in the IPL 2026 auction.
This made him the most expensive overseas player ever.
Just a day after this big deal, he was dismissed for zero runs in a Test match against England.
Even though this was a setback, it's just a part of the game, and he's expected to do well in the future.
Green is known for his all-round skills and is seen as a valuable addition to the KKR team.
Cameron Green was acquired by KKR for a record ₹25.20 crore in the IPL 2026 auction.
He was dismissed for a duck in the third Ashes Test against England the day after the auction.
Green is expected to replace Andre Russell in the KKR team but bat in a different position.
KKR also signed other key players like Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman.
The team's best playing XI for IPL 2026 includes Green, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh among others.
