BJP Predicts Wins in West Bengal Assembly Bypolls
West Bengal will hold Assembly bypolls in Nandigram and Rejinagar on October 6.
The BJP has chosen Hasirani Rath and Sakharav Sarkar as its candidates.
BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar said he expects both candidates to win.
He said the number of candidates from other parties could help the BJP.
He also discussed an investigation involving Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee’s personal assistant.
Majumdar said police would look for documents based on information given during the investigation.
He also said the Uniform Civil Code would be introduced in West Bengal.
He believes the code would make rules apply equally to people of different castes, creeds and religions.
