Home Minister Won't Move Puttur Women’s Police Station

The Home Minister has decided not to move the women's police station in Puttur.

This decision was made because the current location is easy to get to, works well for the police, and is an important historical building.

The local leader, MLA Ashok Kumar Rai, had asked to move the station.

The Home Minister said the current location is helpful during emergencies and festivals because it's near a temple.

Also, the building is the only police building that is considered a heritage site in Puttur.

Moving the station would require a lot more land than what is available.
