Search Resumes for Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
More than ten years ago, a plane called Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
No one knows exactly what happened to the plane or the 239 people on board.
Many searches have been done, but so far, only small pieces of the plane have been found.
The Malaysian government has now asked a company called Ocean Infinity to search again.
They will look in a new area of the ocean for 55 days.
If they find the plane, they will be paid $70 million.
The search is very difficult because the ocean is deep and the weather can be bad.
People hope that this new search will finally help solve the mystery of what happened to Flight 370.
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared on March 8, 2014, with 239 passengers and crew on board.
The plane vanished from radar 39 minutes after departing Kuala Lumpur for Beijing.
Previous searches in the southern Indian Ocean found only small fragments of the plane.
The Malaysian government has contracted Ocean Infinity to resume the search for 55 days starting December 30, 2024.
The search will cover 15,000 square kilometers (5,800 square miles) and cost $70 million if wreckage is found.
