Gujarat Govt to Buy Kharif Crops Worth ₹15,000 Crore
The government of Gujarat is going to buy crops from farmers, like peanuts, moong, urad, and soybeans.
They will pay farmers a guaranteed minimum price for these crops, which is like a safety net.
This buying starts on November 9 and is expected to be worth about 15,000 crore rupees.
The government has set up over 300 places where farmers can sell their crops.
Some prices have also gone up compared to last year, which is good news for farmers.
This is especially important because many farmers have had their crops damaged by unexpected rain.
The government is also planning to give extra help to those farmers who lost their crops.
Gujarat government will procure Kharif crops worth ₹15,000 crore starting November 9.
Procurement will be at Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for groundnut, moong, urad, and soybean.
MSP for groundnut increased by ₹480, urad by ₹400, and soybean by ₹436 per quintal compared to last year.
Over 300 centers have been designated for procurement across the state.
The government is also providing financial aid and relief packages for farmers affected by unseasonal rains.
