Father kills daughter, dies by suicide in Kochi
A man named Pavishankar, who was having money troubles, allegedly poisoned his 6-year-old daughter, Vasuki, and then killed himself in their home in Kochi.
His wife, Snasha, came home from work late at night and found the house locked.
She couldn't get in touch with him and later found both of them dead.
The police are investigating to find out exactly what happened.
A 33-year-old man, Pavishankar, allegedly murdered his 6-year-old daughter, Vasuki, and then died by suicide in their rented house in Ponekkara, Kochi.
Pavishankar was found hanging inside the house, while the child was found dead on the bed, with police suspecting poisoning.
The mother, Snasha, returned home from work around 11:30 PM and found the house locked, with no response from her husband.
Police suspect financial difficulties may have contributed to the incident, as Pavishankar had been unemployed for some time.
A case of unnatural death has been registered, and the bodies were handed over to relatives after postmortem examination.
