Rajasthan Plans Dedicated Youth Budget For Ages 15–29
Rajasthan plans to create a special budget for young people aged 15 to 29.
The budget will be included in the state’s next financial year.
It may support education, job training, sports, health and other youth programmes.
It will also help young people with scholarships, businesses and new ideas.
Government departments must identify programmes that help young people.
Programmes spending more than 70% on youth will be placed in one category.
Other programmes with smaller youth-related spending will be placed in another category.
People can send their ideas through the Finance Department’s website.
Rajasthan will introduce a dedicated Youth Budget in the next financial year for people aged 15 to 29.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas directed departments to include youth-related provisions in their Budget Finalization Committee proposals.
The budget will cover education, skills, employment, startups, scholarships, sports, technology, health, culture and other areas.
Category A schemes will allocate more than 70% of spending to youth welfare, while Category B schemes will allocate less.
The government is inviting public suggestions through a dedicated window on the Finance Department’s website.
