Dubai iPhone 18 Deals Face Questions Over Travel Costs
Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro models cost less in Dubai than in India.
The difference comes partly from the countries’ different tax and import-duty systems.
Some Indian buyers say the savings are large enough to make buying in Dubai worthwhile.
One buyer was already visiting family in Dubai and saved about ₹20,000–₹30,000.
Another buyer said the saving could still work even after paying for a flight and visa.
However, flights and visas can cost tens of thousands of rupees.
This means a special trip to Dubai for only one phone may not actually save money.
The calculation may work better for people already travelling or buying several phones.
Customs rules and allowances must also be considered.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 in India and Dh5,099 in the UAE.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900 in India and Dh5,499 in the UAE.
Reported UAE price savings range from about ₹31,828–₹33,000 for the Pro and ₹36,459–₹38,000 for the Pro Max.
Flights from India can cost ₹24,781 or more, while UAE visas may cost ₹3,500–₹7,899.
Buyers already visiting Dubai or purchasing multiple phones may save, but a dedicated trip may eliminate the price advantage.
