High Court Orders Special LLB Exam After Question Paper Blunder
A student was taking a special exam for an LLB course.
By mistake, the university gave her the wrong question paper.
She had already passed all other exams but failed this one because she was given the wrong test.
The student asked the court to let her take the exam again.
The court said that the student's future is more important than the university's problems and ordered the university to let her take the exam again.
The university has to arrange a special exam for her.
Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered Panjab University to hold a special exam for an LLB student.
The student was given the wrong question paper (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita instead of the old crime law paper).
The student had cleared all other papers but was marked absent in this one.
Justice Kuldeep Tiwari noted that the student's academic future should come before administrative inconvenience.
The court directed the university to provide a special opportunity for the student to retake the exam.
