BJP MLA urges Meiteis to lead peace in Manipur
Yumnam Khemchand Singh is a special person who is both a politician and a Taekwondo master.
He recently spoke at a big event in Imphal, Manipur.
He talked about how he loves Taekwondo and how he went to South Korea to learn more about it.
He also said that Meiteis, who are the biggest group in Manipur, should help bring peace to the state.
He believes that all the different groups in Manipur need to work together to make the state peaceful again.
He started Taekwondo when he was young and has helped many people learn this martial art.
He also talked about how things were difficult in the past but are getting better now.
Yumnam Khemchand Singh, a BJP MLA and 5th Dan Taekwondo master, urged Meiteis to lead the peace process in Manipur.
He compared visiting Vrindavan for Meitei Hindus to learning Taekwondo in South Korea for Taekwondo players.
Khemchand started his Taekwondo career in 1978 and visited Seoul in 1990 to learn from the World Taekwondo Academy.
He was awarded the 5th Dan in traditional Taekwondo by the Global Traditional Taekwondo Federation (GTTF).
Khemchand emphasized the need for Meiteis to play a big brother role in resolving the current crisis in Manipur.
