Loreto College Adds Three Shifts, Expands Seats and Access
Loreto College plans to teach students in three shifts starting next academic year.
The shifts will run in the morning, during the day and in the evening.
BCom will likely be offered in the morning.
Job-focused courses such as business administration, artificial intelligence, cyber security and software development will likely be offered in the evening.
The new schedule should let more students use the college’s limited space.
The college recently received autonomous status from the University Grants Commission.
It is also looking for land to build a second campus.
From 2027, the college plans to welcome male students as well as female students.
Loreto College will introduce morning and evening shifts alongside its existing day shift next academic year.
The tentative shift timings are 6am–10am, 10.30am–4pm and 4.30pm–8.30pm.
BCom is planned for the morning, while BBA, artificial intelligence, cyber security and software development are planned for the evening.
