Assam Approves Rs 600-Crore Proton Beam Cancer Facility

The Assam government has approved a new facility for a specialized type of cancer treatment.

The facility will use Proton Beam Therapy.

It is expected to cost Rs 600 crore.

The project is part of a larger plan to build and improve important infrastructure.

The plan includes hospitals, schools, roads, electricity, homes, and industrial facilities.

The government also wants to improve primary healthcare.

It plans to strengthen embankments because floods often damage homes, farms, roads, and other structures in Assam.

Money for these projects will come from the state, NABARD loans, and Central government schemes.
