Jindal Pushes for WPL Home and Away Format
Parth Jindal, who owns part of the Delhi Capitals, thinks the Women's Premier League (WPL) should change how it plays games.
Right now, all games are in a few cities, but he wants each team to play some games at their home city and some away, like in the men's IPL.
He thinks this will make it more fun for fans and help the league grow.
He also believes that adding one or two new teams soon will make this change possible.
Jindal is happy he invested in the WPL because he thinks the recent women's cricket World Cup win will make the league even more popular.
He hopes the BCCI will give the WPL a longer window in the future to accommodate this change.
Parth Jindal advocates for a home and away format in the WPL, similar to the IPL.
The current caravan format has the tournament held in two to four cities.
Jindal expects one or two new teams to join the WPL soon, facilitating the format change.
The fourth edition of the WPL will be held in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara from January 9.
Jindal believes the recent Women's ODI World Cup win will significantly boost the WPL's popularity.
