IndiGo Cancels Flights Due Weather, DGCA Report
IndiGo, a big airline in India, has been canceling many flights because of bad weather and new rules about how long pilots can work.
The airline had to cancel 57 flights on Saturday and 13 more on Sunday.
The government's aviation regulator, DGCA, has been monitoring IndiGo after it canceled thousands of flights earlier this month due to the new rules.
IndiGo now has to operate fewer flights than before.
The airline is also facing issues because it controls a big part of the market, and there aren't many other airlines to help when things go wrong.
This makes it hard for people to find alternative flights when theirs are canceled.
IndiGo canceled 57 flights on Saturday and 13 on Sunday due to bad weather and operational reasons.
The cancellations affected multiple airports across India, including Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Delhi.
IndiGo's operations are under DGCA monitoring after it canceled thousands of flights earlier due to stricter norms on pilots' duty periods.
The DGCA has reduced IndiGo's winter flight schedule by 10%, limiting it to 1,930 flights per day.
IndiGo and Air India together control about 85% of India's domestic aviation market, raising concerns about market concentration and lack of alternatives.
