Patient bitten by rat in MGM Hospital
A patient in a hospital was bitten by a rat while recovering from a leg amputation.
The hospital staff gave him a special shot to help.
The patient's family was upset and wanted to take him home, but the doctors said it might not be safe.
This isn't the first time rats have been a problem in this hospital.
There were also rats in another hospital nearby.
The main reason for the rat problem is that the hospitals aren't keeping things clean, even though they have money to do so.
Sadly, another patient named P. Srinivas died after being bitten by rats.
A patient in the orthopaedic ward of MGM Hospital was bitten by a rat while recovering from a leg amputation.
Hospital staff administered a TT injection and warned against discharging the patient due to infection risks.
Relatives of the patient quarreled with staff over poor hospital conditions and attempted to discharge the patient.
Previous incidents of rat infestation were reported in the CKM Government Maternity Hospital in December.
Poor sanitation management is cited as the primary cause of the rat infestation in both hospitals.
