Tata Motors Plans Price Hikes as Commodity Costs Rise

Tata Motors Plans Price Hikes as Commodity Costs Rise

Tata Motors is a big company in India that makes trucks and other vehicles.

The company says people still want to buy its vehicles and expects demand to stay strong.

It plans to make vehicles a little more expensive because the cost of metals like steel and aluminium has gone up.

Those metal prices rose partly because of problems in the Middle East.

To deal with this, Tata Motors will also try to spend less money.

The company made more money this quarter than it did last year.

It also sold more vehicles than before in India and in other countries.

Sales in India grew by 26% and sales in other countries grew by 35%.

The company is also getting ready to deliver many trucks to Indonesia.

Overall, Tata Motors thinks business will keep going well.
