Delhi Launches Cleanliness Drive for Kanwar Yatra Routes
Delhi is getting ready for a big religious trip called the Kanwar Yatra.
The government wants to make the roads brighter and cleaner, so they are fixing lights and cleaning up.
They also closed some shops that sell meat and alcohol.
There will be 308 camps for pilgrims in the city.
Because so many people will travel, the police will move cars around and keep traffic safe.
The plan was announced by a minister named Kapil Mishra on July 31, 2024.
Delhi government has started a campaign to eliminate dark spots and improve lighting along Kanwar Yatra routes.
District magistrates instructed to ensure cleanliness, lighting, and shut unauthorized meat shops.
308 Kanwar camps will operate in Delhi from July 30 to August 11, 2024.
Traffic diversions and police deployment expected due to large pilgrim influx.
