Pune Avoids Water Cuts as Dam Storage Rises
The Pune Municipal Corporation has said that there won't be any water cuts in Pune right now.
This is because the dams that supply water to the city have a lot of water stored after recent rains.
The dams are at good levels, with Khadakwasla at 79.11%, Varasgaon at 68.58%, Panshet at 73.61%, Temghar at 53.22%, Pavana at 89.31%, and Mulshi at 83.54% of their usable capacity.
The PMC is keeping a close eye on the water situation and says there are no plans to cut water supply.
They ask people to use water wisely.
Earlier, there was talk of water cuts, but that plan was put on hold.
Right now, no water is being released from the dams, and river levels are stable.
