DMK questions TVK government MoUs, says 75% from previous tenure

DMK questions TVK government MoUs, says 75% from previous tenure

This is a story about politics in Tamil Nadu, a state in India.

A new government, led by Chief Minister Vijay, recently held a big meeting called the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave.

At the meeting, leaders signed agreements that could bring a lot of money and jobs to the state.

The government said the agreements could bring in Rs.67,542 crore and create more than 100,000 jobs.

But the opposition party, called the DMK, is not happy about it.

A DMK leader named TRB Rajaa said three-quarters of the agreements were already worked out by the old government.

He asked why no big new business deals have happened in the first 100 days of the new government.

He also said other places like Andhra Pradesh are clearing big projects faster.

Rajaa wondered why news reporters were not allowed at the meeting and why the old 'Bullish on TN' logo was changed.

So the two political groups are arguing about who deserves credit for the investment deals.
