Kukke Subrahmanya Temple Revises Service Rates After 15 Years
The Kukke Subrahmanya Temple in Karnataka has increased the prices of about 40 different religious services and rituals.
This is the first time they've raised prices in 15 years.
The temple says they had to increase the rates because it costs more to run the temple, paying for things like materials, staff, and electricity.
The changes include the cost of major festivals, as well as things like special prayers and offerings.
They want devotees to check the updated rates before booking services.
Kukke Subrahmanya Temple revised rates for the first time in 15 years.
The rate changes took effect on September 1.
The revisions were approved by the state's Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.
The temple stated the changes were necessary because of rising costs.
Around 40 services have been affected by the rate revisions.
