World Rhino Day: Nehru Zoo Gives Rhinos Fruit Cake
The Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad celebrated World Rhinoceros Day.
The zoo gave its rhinos a large cake made from fruit and green vegetables.
The cake weighed about 7 kilograms.
About 250 school students attended a talk show led by an animal keeper.
The zoo curator said educating people is an important part of the zoo’s work.
The zoo also breeds the greater one-horned rhinoceros, which is highly endangered.
The report says there are five rhinos at the zoo.
However, it lists six rhino names, so that detail is inconsistent.
