Rajasthan moved many government officers to new jobs before local elections.

The transfers involved 26 IAS officers and 53 RAS officers.

Fourteen trainee IAS officers were assigned to help District Election Officers.

The State Election Commission had asked the government to move officers who had stayed in one place for three years or more.

Several officers working in development authorities, city bodies and districts were given different responsibilities.

Six IAS officers who were awaiting postings also received new assignments.

Kaluram was appointed Registrar of Rajasthan University after being placed on awaiting-posting status on August 12.
