Tuam excavation reveals 22 more infant remains
In Ireland, a place called the Tuam Mother and Baby Home was found to have many baby remains.
A team has been digging there since last year and found 99 baby remains so far.
They think there could be up to 800 babies buried there.
The home was a place where young, unmarried mothers were sent to have their babies.
The babies were often taken away and many died from sickness and poor care.
The team is trying to learn more about these babies and who they were.
The excavation team in Tuam, County Galway, has found 99 infant remains, with 22 more discovered recently.
The remains were found in coffins on the south-western edge of the site, described as a 'burial ground'.
The home was part of a network where unmarried pregnant girls were sent, subjected to abuse, forced labor, and poor conditions.
Babies were forcibly taken away, with most not surviving due to malnutrition and treatable diseases, and were subjected to medical experiments.
The Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention (ODAIT) is using radiology and 3D scanning to learn more about the remains.
