Adani to invest ₹1.8 lakh crore in defence manufacturing
Adani Group is planning to spend a huge amount of money, ₹1.8 lakh crore, on making defence equipment in India.
They want to create things like unmanned vehicles that can fly, swim, or drive without people inside, and smart weapons that can hit targets very precisely.
They also want to improve their ability to fix and maintain these machines, and train people to use them.
Last year, they already started using some of their drones in the Indian Navy and Army, and their anti-drone systems passed important tests.
They are also working on making these systems more sustainable and reliable.
In the future, they plan to make even more advanced systems that use artificial intelligence to work together across different areas like air, sea, and land.
Meanwhile, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) may approve defence procurement proposals worth around Rs 80,000 crore, including emergency procurement of key weapons and military equipment.
This is part of a broader effort to modernize India's defence infrastructure and boost indigenous military capabilities.
Adani Group plans to invest ₹1.8 lakh crore in defence manufacturing in 2026.
Focus areas include unmanned and autonomous systems, advanced guided weapons, sensors, electronics, AI-enabled operations, MRO, and training.
Key products include Drishti 10 UAVs, counter-drone systems, Agnikaa loitering munitions, ARKA MANPADS, and AWACS platforms.
Drishti 10 UAVs were inducted into the Indian Navy and Army in 2025, and counter-drone systems cleared trials by the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
