Anna Seva App Brings Ration Card e-KYC Home

The government has created an app called Anna Seva for ration card holders.

The app lets people complete an important identity check called e-KYC from home.

They do not have to visit a ration shop just for this process.

This may help people avoid long lines and server problems.

Users enter their ration card number into the app.

After their details are checked, they use facial recognition to finish e-KYC.

The app is being tested in eight districts.

Officials will study the test before expanding it to more districts.

The app may later provide other Food and Civil Supplies Department services.
