DAVV's New AI MBA Delayed After IIPS Objections
A university in Indore, called DAVV, wanted to start a new five-year MBA course in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
However, another part of the university, called IIPS, said no because they already have a similar course and didn't want students to be divided between the two.
The university's head approved the new course, but it was too late to include it in the first round of student admissions.
So, students who want to join this new AI MBA course will have to wait for the second round of admissions.
Meanwhile, the university also decided to merge some of its departments to use resources better and improve teaching quality.
DAVV's new integrated MBA in AI was approved but excluded from the first CUET-UG counselling round due to late approval and IIPS objections.
IIPS argued that the new course would create duplication and affect their existing integrated MBA programme.
The Vice-Chancellor approved the new course but directed it to be included only from the second phase of CUET UG counselling.
Students interested in the new AI MBA course will have to wait for the second counselling round.
DAVV has also merged 10 teaching departments into five to improve resource utilization and academic quality.
