Dengue, Swine Flu Cases Surge in Tamil Nadu Ahead

Tamil Nadu is seeing more dengue and swine flu cases than last year.

Dengue is spread by mosquitoes, while swine flu can spread between people.

The State recorded 13,573 dengue cases between January and August 30.

Nine people with dengue died during that period.

Dengue cases increased a lot in July and August.

More than 1,500 swine flu cases were also reported.

Doctors said people with swine flu should stay separate from others for at least five days.

They advised people with fever or breathing problems to avoid crowds and get medical help.

People can help prevent dengue by removing standing water where mosquitoes breed.
