US Brands Downplay American Identity for European Consumers

Some big American companies like Coca-Cola and McDonald's are changing how they advertise in Europe.

Because some Europeans don't like how the U.S. is viewed, these companies are trying to show they are part of the local community.

Coca-Cola made ads saying most of its drinks in Germany are made there.

McDonald's is showing they hire lots of people in Germany.

Tesla, another American brand, hasn't done as well.

While some people say they will buy less from US brands, other brands haven't seen a negative impact.

Many companies say they've run similar campaigns before and that the local connection is always important.
