India-EU FTA Finalized; Markets React Positively
India and the European Union have finalized a big trade deal after many years of talks.
This deal is expected to help India sell more things to Europe, like clothes, chemicals, and medicines.
The Indian stock market had a good day, with the Sensex and Nifty going up.
Axis Bank also made more money than expected in the last three months, which made its stock price go up.
Some people are buying stocks like Hindustan Unilever and Bajaj Auto, but others are being careful because of some big investors selling shares and uncertainty about the country's budget.
The central bank is also adding more money to the market to keep it stable.
India and the EU finalized a comprehensive free trade agreement (FTA) after nearly two decades of negotiations.
The FTA is expected to boost India's exports to the EU by approximately USD 50 billion by 2031, benefiting sectors like textiles, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
Axis Bank reported a 3% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹6,490 crore for Q3FY26, surpassing estimates and driving its stock to a 52-week high.
Indian equity markets recovered from volatility, with the Sensex rising 320 points and the Nifty closing above 25,150.
