Gujarat Minister Says New Labour Laws Benefit Workers, Industry

Gujarat has four new labour laws.

These laws combine 29 older laws into a simpler system.

Minister Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya said both companies and workers should benefit.

The rules focus on safety, clean workplaces, drinking water, wages and social security.

The minister said companies should care about workers’ health and safety.

He also said workers may work more wholeheartedly when they feel connected to their organisation.

Officials want cooperation between the labour department and industries.

Gujarat also plans to make labour services digital.

The stated goal is to protect workers while helping industries operate smoothly.
