Oman Pitches Ports as Gateway for Indian Businesses

Oman Pitches Ports as Gateway for Indian Businesses

Oman wants more Indian companies to use its ports and industrial areas.

It says these facilities can help businesses reach the Middle East and other markets.

Oman promoted this idea at a two-day event in New Delhi.

Indian manufacturers, exporters and other businesses attended.

They discussed making products, moving goods and setting up partnerships.

Oman said its economy and foreign investment were growing.

The event highlighted SOHAR Port and Freezone as an important business center.

The discussions also followed the announced implementation of an India-Oman trade agreement on June 1, 2026.
