EPFO Launches Free Doorstep Service for Pensioners
The EPFO has started a new service to help old people who get pensions.
Now, they don't have to go to the bank or EPFO office to show they are alive.
Instead, a postman can come to their home and do this using their Aadhaar card.
This is free and makes it easier for old people who can't travel or use smartphones.
They just need to call a number to ask for this service.
EPFO has launched a free doorstep service for EPS pensioners to submit their Digital Life Certificate (DLC).
The service is provided in partnership with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).
Postal workers verify pensioners' identities using Aadhaar-based biometric or face authentication.
The service is free and aims to help elderly pensioners who face mobility or technology challenges.
Pensioners or their family members can book a home visit by calling IPPB's customer care number.
