Gang Scammed Banks Using Fake IDs
A group of people tricked banks into giving them loans by using fake IDs and fake salary papers.
They pretended to be government employees to get the loans.
The banks thought these people had steady jobs and gave them loans at good rates.
The group then took the money and stopped paying back the loans.
The police found out and arrested three of the main people involved.
These people used to work in banks, so they knew how to trick the system.
The police are still looking for more people who might be involved and trying to find out how much money was stolen.
Additionally, a group of men posing as financiers cheated a garment company owner out of Rs 2.45 crore by promising a low-interest loan.
The owner was asked for an advanced interest payment and was later duped out of the money.
One of the suspects was arrested in Hyderabad.
A gang used fake government IDs and forged salary slips to scam banks into giving them personal loans.
The scam involved opening bank accounts with fake documents and transferring money to these accounts to mimic salary credits.
Three key accused, all with banking sector experience, were arrested on December 29, 2022.
The fraud was discovered in 2022 when a Bajaj Finance employee noticed irregularities in loan account statements.
The gang recruited individuals to use their identities for the scam, compensating them with a portion of the loan amount.
