Inside Victorinox’s Swiss Watchmaking World and Concept One

Victorinox is famous for making Swiss Army Knives, but it also makes watches.

The company builds and tests many of its watches in Delémont, Switzerland.

More than 200 specialists work at its large watch centre.

They check whether watches can handle water, heat, seawater and chlorine.

They also test watch straps, bezels and buttons for wear.

Victorinox recently introduced two Concept One watches.

One runs with a mechanical movement, while the other uses light to make power.

The solar model can keep running for up to eight months in complete darkness.

The company says its watches are designed to be precise, durable and innovative.
