Kolkata Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration Highlights Parivartan Theme for Developed Bengal
A residents’ association in Kolkata is celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in a special way.
The festival’s theme is called “Parivartan,” which means change.
The organizers want to show their hopes for a more developed Bengal.
They created a large statue of Lord Ganesha that is 11 feet tall.
The statue is meant to represent wisdom, responsibility and good leadership.
A display compares problems the organizers associate with the period before May 4 with developments they associate with the period after May 4.
